Printed hoodies: choosing materials & caring for the print

Two people in black and white hoodies — more than just a hoodie, your personal statement

A printed hoodie should do two things: look good and last long. Both are decided not just at the press, but when choosing the material — and later at the washing machine. Here's our honest guide.

The right material for your purpose

There is no single best hoodie material — there's the right one for your use:

  • Organic cotton: comfortable on the skin and the sustainable choice — popular with everyone who cares about environmental impact.
  • Light fabrics: for summer evenings, sports teams and anyone wearing the hoodie as a transitional piece.
  • Cozy, heavy qualities: for the cold months and the favorite hoodie on the sofa.

For teams and companies, look at cuts and the color palette: a unified look only works if fit and color suit everyone. We'll gladly show you the options in the shop — and for larger orders we recommend a prototype first.

Why the print deserves care

Our transfer print is applied under controlled temperature, pressure and press time, which makes it significantly more wash-resistant than quick methods — the design stays flexible and doesn't add bulk. Still: every wash is stress for any printed textile. A few simple rules extend its life considerably.

The 5 care rules for printed hoodies

  1. Turn it inside out: the most important rule of all. The design won't rub against other textiles in the drum.
  2. 30 °C is enough: modern detergents work at low temperatures — and the print will thank you.
  3. Avoid the dryer: heat is the natural enemy of every print. Air-drying keeps the design intact longest.
  4. Don't iron directly on the print: if you iron, do it inside out or with a cloth between iron and design.
  5. No fabric softener on the design: it can degrade the print's adhesion over time.

In short

Choose the material for its purpose, wash inside out at 30 degrees, avoid heat — that's all it takes for your statement to look good for a long time. Everything about ordering is on the hoodie page; how the printing process works in detail is explained on our professional textile printing page.
